Welcome to the Collingswood Bible Presbyterian Church. We're excited to share with you a little bit about who we are and we invite you to find out more by coming to one of our weekly worship services.
The Collingswood BPC was founded by Dr. Carl McIntire, one of the past giants of Biblical Fundamentalism, and still strongly maintains its historic stand on the inerrant, infallible, confluent, verbal, plenary and finished inspiration of the Scripture; the absolute and undiminished Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His sinless Humanity through the literal Virgin Birth; His genuine, literal and supernatural miracles; His substitutionary death on the Cross of Calvary for our sins; His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead; and His literal, bodily ascension into heaven. We also emphatically believe, preach and teach the literal, imminent, bodily, Premillennial, Pretribulational return of our Lord Jesus Christ - one of the principle reasons given in Scripture for moral purity and holy living. In brief, we are Presbyterian Fundamentalists.
The robust Christian life maintains a balance between separation and unity. We stand firmly for the doctrines of Biblical separation and Christian unity, by which we mean: ecclesiastical separation from apostasy, and personal separation from worldliness and sin; and, unity through fellowship, based on sound doctrine, with other Bible-believing Protestant Christians and churches. In the Reformed tradition, the heart of our faith can be summarized in the four great unifying doctrines of the Protestant Reformation: Faith alone, Scripture alone, Grace alone, and Christ alone.
We are unique in the so-called “modern church” cultural morass. If you are looking for expository preaching, serious prayer in real human language, traditional music and worship, a church that still sings the great hymns of the faith, a church that encourages Christian education and home schooling, a church that believes in a young earth and a literal six-day creation, and a church that still uses the King James Version of the Bible, you will find a warm welcome with us.
